Mrs. Joyce Jordan Crawford, 76, died Sunday morning (May 22, 2011) at the Hospice House Satilla after an extended illness.
She was a native of Bacon County, but she has lived most of her life in Waycross. She was the owner of Crawford Jewelers, and member of Deenwood Baptist Church. Mrs. Crawford has in later years has enjoyed traveling extensively.
She is the daughter of the late Marvin J. Jordan and Ellie Mae Carter Jordan. She is preceded in death by her husband, Nesbert Lee Crawford; and two brothers, Doris N. Jordan and Willis Jordan.
Survivors include one daughter, Kimberly Blount (husband Timmy) of Waycross; three sons, Bruce Crawford (wife Donna) of Waycross, Gary Crawford (wife Kathy) of Douglas, and Tim Crawford of Waycross; 8 grandchildren, Shon Crawford (wife Molly), Chad Crawford, Matthew Crawford (fiance Jessica Adams), Lance Crawford (wife April), Brittany Crawford, Ryan Crawford (wife Rosie), Timary Blount and Tera Blount; six great grandchildren, Jacob, Eli, Collin, Ensley, Caroline and Cohen Crawford; two sisters, Jerline ï¿½Jeriï¿½ Crowder of Waycross, and Darcile Smith of Blackshear; one aunt, Georgia Jordan of Blackshear; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 4 p.m. Monday (May 23, 2011) at Deenwood Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2 until 4 p.m. Monday at the church.
