Mr. Benjamin F. Booth, 69, died Friday (August 21, 2009) at his residence following a long illness.
He was a native of Clinch County but had resided in Duval County, FL for most of his life. He had been living in Pierce County for the past 14 years. He was son of the late Burnice E. Booth and Emily Vinson.
He was retired from Anchor Glass Company in Jacksonville, FL and had worked for Jim's Welding for five years. He was a member of Jordan New Congregational Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Cornetta Corbett Booth of Blackshear; two daughters, Pamela Witte and Deigh Williams both of Callahan, FL; four grandchildren; Benjamin Rochay (wife Stacy), Lauren Witte, Brian Adam Hicks, Travis Hicks; one great grandson, Benjamin Rochay, II; and numerous other relatives.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m.Sunday (August 23, 2009) at Music Funeral Home Chapel. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Saturday night from 6 until 8.
