Arthur Lee Williams, Sr., 57, entered into eternal rest on the early morning of November 26, 2012.

He was a native and life-long resident of Waycross. Arthur was a 1973 graduate of Waycross High School. He provided for his family through employment as a loader and jack driver on the shipping yard of Wal-Mart Distribution Center; and he was a carpenter with Williams & Sons, and later a master carpenter with Work of Art. Arthur was a fun-loving, kind-spirited man who loved life, his family, and friends. He was a truly devoted father and friend. He will forever be missed. He leaves his memory to be cherished by all whom he left behind.

Arthur was preceded in death by his father, Jonas Williams, Sr.

He is survived by his mother, Frances Williams of Waycross; two sons, Paul Maurice Hill (wife Melanie) of Stamford, CT and Arthur Lee Williams, II of Waycross; a daughter, Summer LaShae Williams of Waycross; former wife, Robin Murphy of Waycross; three brothers, Jonas Williams, Jr. (wife Sharon) of Waycross; Eddie Williams, Sr. (wife Irma) of Raleigh, NC; Albert Williams (Phyllis King) of Waycross; two sisters, Martha Jean Umphrey (husband Albert) of Las Vegas, NV and Nancy Marie Powell (husband Robert) of Waycross; two uncles, John Foster (wife Valarie) and Walter Johnson (wife Helen); one aunt, Florence Lee; seven grandchildren, Marquis, Arthur III, Satchel, Savion, Janae, Miles, and Amari; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday (December 1, 2012) at Shiloh Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Hazzard Hill Cemetery.

Music Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
