Mrs. Ann Williams Inman, 89, went to her heavenly reward Wednesday (Feb. 6, 2019) after a courageous battle against old age.

She was born in Albany, GA on September 13, 1929. She was the wife of Robert A. “Red” Inman. Together they had five children. The family moved to Waycross in 1968.

She attended Ward-Bellmont College of Nashville, TN and was a member of the Junior League of Albany, GA.; the Green Thumb Garden Club, and Holly Interest in Waycross. She was a member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church of Albany and St. Joseph’s Catholic Church of Waycross. She was a faithful volunteer of the church and a member of the three Ann’s along with Ann Johnson and Ann O’Connell. These three ladies were the cleaning angels of the church. She also volunteered in the Loaves and Fishes program at St. Joseph. She had an infectious smile and pretty blue eyes and was a lover of animals, along with a sparkling wit and Southern graciousness. She will be sorely missed by her family and her church family. She loved her time at the beach. She was a devoted wife and mother.

She was preceded in death by her father Barney Bass Williams and her mother, Christine Brosnan Williams, and her husband Robert.

Survivors include a sister, Eva W. Philbin (Ed) of Gainesville, GA; two daughters, Bonnie Inman Dozier (Donald) of Atlanta and Eloise Inman Purdom (Larry) of Waycross; three sons, Robert A. “Bud” Inman, Jr. of Cour d’Alene, Idaho, Stephen Williams Inman of Waycross, and Daniel Brosnan Inman of Waycross; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Saturday (February 16, 2019) at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church from 11:00 -12:00, immediately before the Memorial Mass for her at 12 noon.

The family wishes to thank, among others too numerous to mention, the staff of Baptist Village Nursing Home and Satilla Hospice who provided loving care during the five years she resided at Baptist Village.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Baptist Village, 2650 Carswell Avenue, Waycross, GA 31503, Hospice Satilla, 808 Evergreen Way, Waycross, GA 31501, and St. Joseph's Loaves and Fishes.

Music Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
